Born in 1954, Alain Zimeray lives in Paris, France.

Alain Zimeray is particulary interested with portraits, feminity and abstraction. He illustrated these themes during the numerous solo or collective exhibition in which he participated.

Passionated by sea and sailing, he made, with french writer Christian Bontzolakis, a book of portraits of 33 sailing women, « Les Dames de la Mer » (Marines Editions), published in june 2009.

Invited by Commodore Patrick Augier, Alain Zimeray had the opportunity to travel during its last Round the World tour on the french navy helicopter carrier Jeanne d’Arc. This photographic work has been published in several magazines, and are ditributed to the press by SIPA PRESS agency.
